• Tel Cards: Expect to pay 10- 20 cents per minute for international or local calls. Ask before you purchase just how much the FREE ACCESS RATE is. This is not in fact free . Usually 10c above local access rate.
• Changing Money: Change at banks not money exchange centres for the best rates.
  Parnell has an ASB which has some of the best rates available.
  Get there before 4.30pm . If it is the weekend there is an ASB in the supermarket that will be open.
• Buses:
• Kiwis: Intercity, Northliner, Go Kiwi
• Backpackers: Magic, Stray or Kiwi (2-3 minutes from the AloeTree Backpacker in Parnell, Auckland)

There are discounts for backpackers (check out the deals).

You maybe charged per hour or for your entire route.

Remember schedules to some locations are only once a day and some of the tour companies don't run or pickup everyday. So check out the frequency for the season you want to travel.
